This site is a tribute to Derek Oakley. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
Derek passed away peacefully on 31st October 2019, at Manchester Royal Infirmary, aged 66 years.
The beloved husband of Maureen, much loved Dad to Claire and Nicola, father-in-law to Paul, Grandad to Leah, Kian, Harrison and Cory and brother to Joyce, Alan and Gary.

Thoughts
Derek was my driving instructor about 5 years ago; he taught my sister, then myself and then my boyfriend at the time. He was the most genuine, caring and kindness soul... it was an absolute pleasure to meet him and have him be the one to teach me such a valuable life lesson. Our endless talks about football will never be forgotten, my thoughts are with all his friends and family! Rest in peace... you will never walk alone Derek!
